History of Ram Clinic & Psychiatry Institute (Unit I) & Ram Psychiatry Hospital (Unit II) 

i. 1987 – RAM Clinic was started with 15 in patient beds and out patient consulting facilities specifically dedicated to the acute cure of psychiatric patients

ii. 1996 – RAM clinic emerged as Ram clinic & Psychiatry Institute with 20 in patient beds under the care of Dr.V.D.Krishnaram – Director & chief Psychiatrist & Mrs.V.K.Manjula – Chairman to render acute care for psychiatric ailments and problems with special emphasis on de – addition & child psychiatry

iii. 1997 – VDK Trust was started to render free psychiatric services & conduct medical camps.

iv. 1998 – A 24 hour pharmacy center – AVINASH Medical center was initiated to provide psychiatric ailments

v.  2001 – RAMESH EEG Unit was started with a qualified EEG Technician.

vi. 2003 – Dr.V.K.Aravind joined RAM Clinic & Psychiatric Institute as a consultant Psychiatrist & Research person

vii. 2006 – RAM Psychiatry Hospital [Unit II] emerged as a unique muti specialty psychiatric care center with 30 in patient beds. This unit is dedicated to both for acute chronic care of patients with psychological problems and ailments, Ram clinic emerged as Ram De-addiction center offering comprehensive treatment to various forms of substance abuse with qualified full time clinical psychologist, occupational Therapist and social worker
